Services:
Contaminated Fuel?
Water can get into your fuel tank through several
ways. If the seal on the fill of your tank is bad or if there is
a leak in your cooling system water can invade your fuel. Also failure
to keep tanks topped of will allow condensation to accumulate in your tank.
If your boat is not used for long periods of time, algae and rust can form
in the tank. We have a Parker 10 micron diesel fuel filtering machine
with trained operators who will come to your boat to clean fuel and get
you up and running in no time.
Refrigeration Problems?
We have service personnel to work on a variety
of U.S. and European refrigerator models. In most cases, we can have
someone at your boat with in 24 hours so you are minimally inconvenienced.
Since refrigeration is one of the service areas which often demands ordering
of special parts, we can usually have what you need the next business day.
Mechanical?
Our
mechanical service department has earned the reputation of superior service
provided at a fair price. The staff takes time each year to attend
factory seminars to stay current with equipment and service technical information.
We stock parts for Yanmar, Onan, Westerbeke, Marine
Air, Universal, and MercCruiser. We can also have other parts delivered
within 24 hours.
Cosmetic Repairs?
Damage to stainless steel, chrome, aluminum,
and brass can bring a boat's value down. We have skilled artisans
who offer their services by our recommendations. Welding shops, metal
fabrication, and fiberglass repairs are among our resource contacts.
We also have woodworkers, canvas and sail repair, rigging, electronics
repair and installation and outboard motor shops nearby to assist you in
solving other boating needs.
Diving?
A bottom with growth or barnacles will hinder
you boats performance, whether sail or power. Our certified divers
can clean the bottom, check condition of zincs, transducer, speedoheads,
shafts and props. We also provide underwater surveys, replace props,
thru-hull fittings, cutlass bearings, struts, shafts, steering cables,
and provide a complete written report after each dive.
Monthly Service Program
If you have to be away from your boat for extended
periods, you can have peace of mind knowing someone experienced and knowledgeable
is watching out for it, inside and out. On our initial call we will
go over all the working systems on your boat so that we are thoroughly
familiar with them. We will record all start up, operating, and shut-down
procedures.
Then, on a once a week basis, we will check your
mooring lines and fenders for wear and chafe and that your boat is securely
attached. We will check bilge water levels, operate all pumps and
check your battery.
Once a month, we engage the transmission under
a load to keep the gears lubricated, run the engine(s), check A/C refrigeration
systems pumps and seals, activate the pressure wash system, operate all
electrical or mechanical systems, and check the battery water levels and
voltage.
Our objective is to have the boat ready for you
to get on and take out safely, so we check fire extinguisher levels, monitor
dates for oil or fuel filter changes and look for anything that may spoil
your fun.
We keep a written report of each visit, giving
you the summary at the end of the month. If any emergency or serious
problems develop, we will contact you immediately.
Air Conditioning Units
We offer portable A/C units for affordable daily, weekly, or monthly rental
for boats in wet slips or dry dock.
